Grandmas Wear Thongs is a book about the evolution of the maternal role of ‘grandma’ dating back to the early 1950’s through today. Over the past 50 years women have made great strides in becoming highly regarded icons of strength and intelligence, while discovering the freedom of sensuality and individualism.
The book will be one to share with daughters, mothers and grandmas, as it reflects significant events in American culture that directly impacted society at large, opening doors for change.
The book will include contributions from generations of women whose lives have been personally impacted by these changes leading them to uncharted waters, as they fearlessly and gently stepped through those doors.
