Walking and Seasonal Depression

Some people find that they become more depressed during the fall and winter months when sunlight, a known mood elevator, is at a minimum.

Walking outdoors during the winter months is encouraged.

    I found a book in the library about many benefits of walking and it is amazing how we are naturally provided with the tools to fight our own depression. Walking helps breathing and breathing is the key to meditation so if you think about it, walking is a form of meditation and so much more.
